MCM Inspired Night Stands (2021)

My best friend has just moved into a new apartment and needed some night stands. He needed night stands, I needed a project. I went to Kirkland Sawmill. It is the closest sawmill to my house. Great people! They walked me around the various buildings to show me what options they had. Finding a piece of wood that was a hardwood, at least 13+ inches wide, at least 10 ft. long and 1 1/2 – 2″ thick was a tall order. We finally found a board… it just happened to be near the bottom of a stack and behind a triple stack of pine. The staff was great about moving stuff around so we could get to the board.  Once we got to it, it was a beautiful piece of maple. My inspiration for the tables was based on a photo I found online. I added to USB phone charger and hairpin legs. Both came from Amazon. The tables were assembled and stained to match his headboard.
