Description
Reclaimed lumber is processed wood retrieved from its original application for purposes of subsequent use. Wikipedia
I have a lot of scrap wood. So much so that I built a scrap organizer out of scrap wood to organize the rest of my wood. You can see it here. I thought it was time to put it to good use. The coat rack is made of excess plywood (backing), unfinished oak flooring (naturals keys) and black walnut (accidental keys and frame).
- The plywood was leftover from a previous project.
- Some of the oak was left over from the refinishing of our 1st floor floors a few years ago.
- The walnut was reclaimed from a cabinet maker who has generously offered me access to his scrap wood whenever I want it.
- The hooks are new, as are the “D” hooks on the back.
- One light coat of polyurethane
